OVERVIEW
Live like an old Dubrovnik nobleman... in this stunning, old stone villa, a typical Dubrovnik summer country house which has been lovingly and expertly restored by present owners to provide a luxurious vacation home for discerning travellers. A perfect location to explore the whole South Dalmatia coastline, the towns of Cavtat and Mlini and the wild, magnificent Peljesac peninsula, as well as dipping into the neighbouring Montenegro and Kotor town.
The villa is immersed in the Mediterranean countryside and has views of vineyards, olive groves and the sea in the distance. The lovely town of Cavtat and one of the most beautiful beaches in the region is a short driving distance away (5km). Go cycling on bike trails, hiking, riding, kayaking, boating, scuba diving, the lot! But you are also close to good restaurants, charming cafes and bars, shopping, music, festivities, all kinds of water sports. The villa is arranged on three floors, with 300 square metres of living space, 800 square metres of south facing garden. It is a villa for families, romantic getaways, sporting activities, large groups and for relaxation!
Accommodation
Ground floor
The ground floor has a rustic feel due to the exposed stone walls, but the furniture is refreshingly modern. The villa has satellite TV in the sitting room. One step leads up to a well equipped, modern kitchen with a fridge/freezer, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, cooking utensils and new tableware. The dining area has a large table which can fit 12 people. From the sitting room, you step into the cellar where there is a wine store, more seating, and there you get romantic bohemian atmosphere, ready for an intimate gathering - a very Croatian tradition. On the other side of the sitting room is a games room with a pool table and darts ("pikado"). The villa also provides a washing machine, hair drier, iron and ironing board. Old romance mixed with all mod cons and facilities.
First floor
On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom, with shower rooms. All bedrooms with TV and good quality bed linen. Bathrooms are inviting and provide plenty of towels and hair driers. From this bedroom floor you can walk out onto the traditional stone terrace with tiled roof and carved pillars, known locally as the "gloriette". Here is where you can sip your morning coffee, or enjoy the stunning Dubrovnik sunsets in privacy.
Second floor
Steps lead to the top floor where there are two more large double bedrooms each with its own shower room and an additional sofa bed.
Outside
The outdoor space includes a spacious covered terrace and a large private swimming pool which has 50 square metres surface area, six sun loungers, pool towels and three parasols, a great place to unwind and soak up the sun. In a small outbuilding is the Jacuzzi hot tub, sauna, shower and toilet. For entertainment, al fresco dining and socialising, there is an outside kitchen with a large dining table for 12, a barbecue, children's playground and four bicycles. Parking is provided for 3 cars.
