Overview

Villa Nautilus is one of two stone-built sister villas (next door ) sharing a large 12m x 5.5m swimming pool and 1700 square metres of garden, located just 100 metres from the crystal clear Adriatic Sea on the island of Drvenik Veli. It is a beautiful island with gorgeous coastline characterised by lovely bays. Coming to this island really is a chance to relax and escape from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The villa is 2.5km from the town of Drvenik, where there are shops, restaurants and cafes.

The house is ecologically friendly, with solar panels providing the water heating and electricity. It has also been specially built to not require air-conditioning, with thick stone walls, a roof insulated to the highest standards and a constant sea breeze refreshing the house. Numerous outdoor spaces surround the villa and the garden is a delight of Mediterranean herbs and palm trees. Balconies and terraces provide great sea views.

Accommodation

The accommodation is spread over three floors with the main living space on the ground floor, three double bedrooms on the first floor and a penthouse one bedroom suite on the second floor.

Ground floor

The ground floor consists of an elegant modern open-plan living space, a study room which can be converted into an additional bedroom, a kitchen and a shower room. The living room is furnished with two comfortable white sofas, a coffee table, LCD TV and a very attractive corner fireplace. The dining area has dark wood furniture, with a sideboard and a dining table and chairs, and the kitchen is fitted with pale-wood modern units and equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, toaster and a blender, cooking utensils and tableware. There is also a washing machine located in the ground floor shower room. In the main living area, the summer light is maximised by two sets of sliding patio doors which lead to a lovely terrace offering unforgettable views to the sea.

First floor

The first floor comprises three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have balconies with outdoor furniture, so that you can enjoy sea views and sunsets with a glass of wine or quietly read with a cup of coffee during the day. The bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and are light and spacious. All bed linen and towels are provided.

Second floor

The second floor consists of a magnificent one bedroom suite with a sitting area and kitchen/dining area and unparalleled sea views. The suite has wood flooring and wood panelled ceilings with exposed beams. The sitting area has cream sofas with chairs, a coffee table and a satellite TV. The dining/kitchen area has a dining table with four chairs and modern kitchen units with gas hob with extractor hood, electric oven and fridge/freezer. Cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery are provided. Both areas have french windows with access to the balcony and sea views. There is also a large double bedroom and shower room and plenty of towels are provided for guests.

Outside

There are many different outdoor spaces around Villa Nautilus, the most magical being the beautiful beach just 100 metres from the villa. The villa's garden is protected by a hand built, stone wall and planted with scented herbs and mature palm trees. The villa shares a very large swimming pool with its sister villa next door. The pool is 12 metres by 5.5 metres, surrounded by a sunbathing patio and sun loungers. There is also an outdoor shower, covered dining area and barbecue. We recommend this villa to evreyone who wants luxury away from it all, and can venture off to explore historic towns and watersports. If you are a keen on eco-friendly villas, this is a perfect choice.
