OVERVIEW
Villa Leander is a recently built (2023) luxury family villa with a private pool, located in the beautiful village of Zaton near Dubrovnik. Zaton boast strings of pretty villas and seaside cottages which line a lovely bay, with restaurants, cafes, beaches, grocery shops. There are various public transport options to Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, which is just 12km (7 miles) away and takes 15 minutes to reach from this superb coastal location. There, you can enjoy walking among the elegant, century-old stone mansions, visit an authentic old pharmacy, monasteries, galleries and beautiful churches. Sit in a little town square, sipping coffee or a sunset cocktail and finish off the evening by dining on freshly-caught seafood. It is a vibrant city day and night, with clubbing for the young ones, fantastic classical music concerts everywhere and dramatic plays performed on the famous city walls.
You should also venture in the opposite direction from Dubrovnik, westwards. This is the still-unspoilt Peljesac peninsula which abounds with sandy and pebbly beaches, old fishing villages and small towns such as Ston and Mali Ston, where you will eat exquisitely fresh fish and oysters in sophisticated restaurants. This wine growing region produces fabulous wines of Dingach and Postup (red) and Poship (white), so you can visit numerous private wineries. Your holiday will combine the wonders of Dubrovnik town and wild swimming on Peljesac. Then take a day to visit the nearby Elafite islands or the National Park on Mljet island. ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor
The ground floor comprises a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely, separate dining room with a table which can sit up to 10 people. The kitchen contains a fridge/freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cooking utensils and lovely dinner ware, all very tasteful. There are also two ensuite bedrooms on this floor. The bedrooms are beautiful and restful, with excellent, large, new beds and good quality bed linen. Marble tiled bathrooms have plenty of towels and one of the four bathrooms has a bath tub. There is also a utility room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board on this floor.
First floor
On the first floor is a bright, sunny sitting room which has two large, comfortable leather sofas facing each other, lovely paintings and furnishings and is a great place to relax. A large door opens out onto a spacious seaview balcony, where there is additional outdoor seating. Two other double bedrooms are on the first floor and share a balcony.
OUTSIDE
Luxury Villa Leander with pool and sea view has an outdoor space as stylish as its interior. The walled garden has a private pool, measuring 8 by 3 metres. Four parasols, eight sun loungers and pool towels are provided. There is a round table and barbecue for outdoor dining. The sunbathing pool terrace adjoins a pretty part of the garden planted with lavender and palm trees. The garden is a real Mediterranean delight. There is private parking for up to three cars.
