OVERVIEW
Hvar is one of Europe's sunniest islands with 2,726 hours of sunshine a year, famous for small and charming historical coastal towns and opulent villas, sandy beaches, natural beauty, delicious wine, lavender and olive oil as well to having some of Europe's cleanest sea. Hvar was also home to Europe's first public theatre built in 1612. On its southern coast the village of Sveta Nedjelja (Santa Domenica) perches on a hillside above the Adriatic Sea, its vineyards providing excellent red wines. This is the location of Villa Maroa, a luxury villa which was newly built in 2020, with every detail thought of to make your holiday in Croatia comfortable, exciting and memorable. For those seeking natural beauty, unspoilt beaches, gorgeous scenery and sporty activities such as rock climbing and wild swimming in the sea, this is a great place to rest, keep fit and recharge. Hvar has many aspects of night life from clubs, beach clubs and bars or restaurants, pizzerias and cafes. Wine, cocktail, tapas and trendy bars are in abundance, and for those party animals, on some of the small islands off the coast of Hvar there are world renowned night clubs and beach clubs allowing peace and pandemonium to live side by side in perfect harmony.
The villa was built with the best local materials and abounds with large glass windows and many balconies, so as to enhance your full view of the bright, blue sea. Full air conditioning in every room, heating and WiFi are standard. The villa spreads over 240 square metres and there is 500 square metres of lovely garden and terrace with a private pool. The signature style of this luxury villa is designer furniture and comfortable, large beds. The village is very charming and it is difficult to tear yourself away from the pool and the amazing sea views.
ACCOMMODATION
Basement
A private wine cellar is just the right spot to buy and enjoy the famous Croatian wines, some of which come from Hvar. Have your own wine tasting event, with local air dried ham and cheese to sustain you. Prices will be lower than in a restaurant.
Ground floor
The elegant ground floor of the private family villa Maroa is taken up by an open plan living room, which has huge sliding windows to take in that unforgettable sea view. There is a very smart designer leather sofa and TV, art work on the walls and an i-pod dock. A special feature is the modern fireplace. A beautiful, round wooden table has six matching chairs. The kitchen is provided with a dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, lovely tableware and quality kitchen utensils.
First floor
There are two bedrooms with king size double beds, TVs, and balconies on the first floor. One bedroom has an en-suite shower whilst the other bedroom shares a bathroom with the bedroom number three, half a floor up. All bed linen and towels are provided.
Mezzanine Floor
The mezzanine floor is midway between the first and second floors. On the mezzanine floor there is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom and from the staircase.
Second floor
The master bedroom occupies the whole of the top floor. The bedroom has a king size double bed, an ensuite shower room , balcony, a safe and sea view. The balcony offers panoramic sea views.
All bedrooms are individually air-conditioned.
Please note: All bedrooms have double beds, but the max. occupancy is 6.
OUTSIDE
The outdoor area of the villa is arranged into several terraces which have magnificent sea views and offer you the space to cook and eat together al-fresco or have a quiet moment by yourself. The beautiful pool terrace has a 6x5 metre private pool, which is 1.5 metres deep, with an outdoor shower. There are six sun loungers, parasols, shady corners and an outdoor sofa and chairs. Under a canopy there is a full summer kitchen with a barbecue, outdoor dining table and chairs seating eight people.
