Overview
Luxury, new family Villa Mattea has three double bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large garden with private pool, air conditioning, WiFi and a garage plus extra parking. Sea views and scented pine woodland add to the relaxing feel of this sunny luxury holiday home, located on one of the most beautiful and famous islands in the world, Hvar island. Hvar and its towns and villages offer gourmet experience based on the healthy Mediterranean diet which uses the locally made olive oil, fantastic red wine called Plavac and fresh fish and shellfish. You will be spoilt for choice between the Michelin star restaurants and little harbourside taverns. Even the most demanding reveller will be impressed with the beach clubs and night bars such as Carpe Diem and Laganini on the nearby Pakleni islands. If you wish to lead a completely healthy life, there is plenty of hiking, biking, wild swimming and water sports of every type. Children will enjoy snorkelling in the warm, crystal clear sea.
The nearest town is Stari Grad, just two kilometres away. It has shops, supermarket and a few very good restaurants. In addition, visit the beautiful, historic town of Hvar, then gorgeous Jelsa, Vrbovska and pretty Milna. Lose yourself in the wonderful, natural beauty of Hvar island, or party all night with the rich and famous from all over the world, or do both!
Luxury Hvar Villa Mattea is one of the collection of ten similar private villas on a secluded spot with sea views, but close to all the amenities of Stari Grad. This is the fifth villa in the collection and has the most distant location away from the entrance to the village. Families will appreciate the space in this gorgeous villa, spreading over 190 square metres set in a garden of 1000 square metres.
Please note some of the internal images will be from other villas in the complex but the interior design and décor is identical for all the villas.
ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor
The ground floor is a large, open plan living area with a kitchen and dining table for eight people. There is also a separate toilet and a store room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The living room is full of sunshine coming in through large glass doors and windows. The pretty sitting room has two sofas, designer lighting, fireplace and a wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen is stocked with a full range of cooking utensils, fresh new plates, glasses and cutlery, a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso coffee machine.
On the ground floor there is also one double bedroom with a king size double bed, a bathroom with a bathtub and plenty of towels. The bedroom has direct access to the pool terrace.
First floor
The first floor comprises two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms benefit from a lovely balcony which can be accessed from the corridor. Bedlinen and towels are provided.
The villa sleeps six people in permanent beds and a further two guests can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room.
OUTSIDE
The garden of this luxury, private villa measures 1000 square metres, giving plenty of space for children to run around. It is permeated by the fresh scent of pine trees across the garden wall. The pool is private and sun loungers are provided. For family "get togethers" there is an outdoor barbecue and dining table where you will spend many happy hours enjoying Hvar's local fare and great wines (Plavac!). Memories of your wonderful villa on Hvar will go home with you.
