OVERVIEW
Villa Girondella Large is one of the two attached villas belonging to the same family who have for several years painstakingly worked on its revival. The result is a beautiful marvel of a holiday home reflecting the love and welcoming attitude of the owners. The authentic Croatian holiday rental villa is about 120 years old, incorporating stone walls and wood beams. The owners say that they were led by the love for the house and not by trends or standards but managed to blow the budget. You get Villeroy and Boch bathrooms and tableware, best Italian furniture, finest beds and bed linen. Local carpenters have been involved as well. So this lovely family villa is now full of character, beauty and comfort, to be appreciated by discerning guests coming to enjoy Croatia and its welcoming people.
The villa is located in an amazingly beautiful Croatian coastal region of north Dalmatia, near the famous and historic town of Sibenik and near the Krka River Waterfalls National Park (5km) which are both a "must see". The pretty town of Skradin is 3 km away. It’s a perfect cycling country, so the owner provides you with bikes. Also visit Zadar and Sibenik (Michelin restaurant Pelegrini) for culture and special experience, and the unforgettable Kornati islands for a day cruise. The villa is very peaceful, child and pet friendly, but also offers a very active vacation if that is what you want. One of our absolute favourites!
ACCOMMODATION
Ground Floor
Ground floor comprises a sitting room, dining area and kitchen, one double bedroom and bathroom and a glass walled veranda. The sitting room ticks all the boxes- tasteful, exposed stone walls and a fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating with designer sofas, elegant furniture and lighting, works of art and a large TV. This merges with an outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy socialising and sitting in the sunshine bay the barbecue.
The lovely kitchen is hand made by local craftsmen to reflect the rustic elements and equipped with everything you need for gourmet cooking. Large fridge/freezer, cooker and hob, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine, microwave, Villeroy and Boch tableware and plenty of best cooking utensils.
The tasteful bedroom has a super-king size double bed with sumptuous, sand coloured and white bed linen, an suite bathroom with a bath tub and a TV.
First floor
First floor comprises two en-suite bedrooms with showers, super king size double beds,TVs and a balcony with sea views.
OUTSIDE
The villa has a walled garden where there is a heated, private pool), a Jacuzzi, sauna, outside shower and toilet, six top of the range sun loungers, parasols and a children's playground in the orchard and on the covered terrace near the house. The beautiful pool is 8 by 4 metres large and 1.6 metres deep, with comfortable steps going into the pool.
The outdoor kitchen is covered and shady with a large barbecue and bread oven, and an outdoor dining table.
The newly planted lawn is turning into an orchard with 18 local trees such as pomegranate, maraschino cherry, fig, apricot, apple, pear, peach, with some excellent children's toys scattered round.
