OVERVIEW
Family Villa Dea is a three bedroom, two bathroom property of 60 square metres, with an amazing 6000 square metre garden and private pool and just four kilometres (2 miles) from a lovely beach. The villa is on the island of Brac, in an ancient hillside village, which means that there is a wide, panoramic view of the Adriatic sea from many points in the village. There is a charming, small museum and castle, a shop, restaurant and cafe. Within five to ten minutes' drive you will find many more restaurants and shops, and your nearest beach. In the past, this was a farm building on the family's olive grove. Now it is a pretty holiday home offering true rest and relaxation. The villa was built in 2004 and renovated in 2019. Public transport is 500 metres away. There is private parking for three cars.
A short, scenic ferry ride of fifty minutes brings you from Split to the island of Brac and within twenty minutes you are relaxing in your holiday home. Do take a day trip to Split and Trogir to discover amazing culture, architecture and great restaurants. Visit the Krka River National Park and its beautiful waterfalls.
ACCOMMODATION
The villa is on a slope, so it has a lower ground floor and an upper ground floor. It is partially air-conditioned. The lower ground floor is air conditioned throughout, and the upper ground floor has an air condition unit in the living room, plus two electric fans. There is also WiFi connection.
Upper ground floor
The upper ground floor is reached by eight steps and comprises a living room which has a kitchen/diner with sofa, TV and ipod dock. There is also a family shower room plus two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has twin beds and the second bedroom has a king-size double bed plus sea view. All bed linen and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooker and hob, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils and tableware. Iron, ironing board, washing machine and hairdryer are also provided. From the kitchen you walk out onto a shady terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs. With that beautiful view and sunshine, you will spend most of your time on the terrace!
Lower ground floor
A few steps lead down to the lower ground floor, which has a double bedroom with a super-king double bed, and its own shower room. The bed can be separated into two single beds. This room also has one extra single bed for the seventh guest. The windows look out onto the garden.
OUTSIDE
The selling point of this pretty family villa on the island of Brac is its large, private, rural garden filled with olive, lemon and fig trees and the scent of herbs. From some rooms and parts of the garden you can see the blue sea. In an old village fashion, stones have been pushed away to clear the ground for olive trees, and they now form distinctive "stone pyramids" dotted around the garden, as if they are modern sculptures.
The garden has a 22 square metre pool (depth 1.5 metres), with a smaller pool above the larger one (depth 0.9 metres), also providing a waterfall for the larger pool. There are six sunbathing chairs, parasols, outdoor dining table and a barbecue, as well as a sea view terrace. Pool/beach towels are provided.
