OVERVIEW
In one of the most romantic and picturesque parts of Croatian Istria you will find luxury Villa Merischi, a fabulous transformation of an old village house into a large luxury private villa with pool and magnificent sea views, stretching all the way to Venice! This amazing holiday home was renovated in 2015 and has 400 square metres of living area, offering four bedrooms, four bathrooms (showers), a wellness house, a heated pool and a magical garden which measures 1500 square metres and is fully fenced. There is air conditioning in every room, also WiFi and six TV sets in all. The villa consists of two incorporated cottages and you will have enough space for a larger families with children. A special charm of this Istrian holiday home is the clear distinction of the old and the new. Luxury private Istrian Villa Merischi is a perfect place for those who want great privacy, but is within a short drive of beaches, great restaurants, outdoor activities, wineries and great cultural sites such as Pula (Authentic Roman Amphitheatre), Porec (Euphrasius' 5th century Basilica with famous mosaics), Rovinj (the Little Venice, full of artists and beach bars) and the central hilltop towns such as Motovun and Groznjan which are a must see! You are close to an extensive range of sports and outdoor activities. Visit the Istralandia amusement park and the Dinopark, and participate in water sports, hiking, biking, riding, golf and tennis. If you are a serious tennis or golf player, lessons from professionals can be booked by us at the tennis centre in Umag.
The luxury private family Villa Merischi will be a focus of rest and relaxation for the family, with plenty to see and do even if you are a group with a great variety of interests. After a day's activities you will relish a barbecue with your family and friends, sipping the delicious local white wine Malvazia or a rich red Merlot and enjoying a truly magnificent sunset over the sea!
ACCOMMODATION
Villa Merischi accommodates max. 8 adults and 2 children in two interconnected villas.
Villa 1
The ground floor comprises a charming rustic open plan living/dining area with kitchen and open fireplace. Partially exposed natural stone walls and a ceiling with wooden beams give this room a very homely feel. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a satellite TV.
The white double bedroom on the groundfloor has a minimalistic feel, but with its exposed natural stone wall is perfectly in keeping with the rustic charme of the living area. It also features an ensuite shower room.
On the first floor there is another double bedroom with twin beds, large wardrobe, TV and ensuite shower. Bedlinen and towels are provided.
Villa 2
The large rustic kitchen is fully equipped and also features an open fireplace. You will love to socialise around the large dining table which easily can sit eight people.
Wooden floor boards and tasteful furnishings give this double bedroom on the first floor a very inviting and relaxing feel. The ensuite bathroom is nicely tiled and has a shower.
There is another double bedroom on the second floor which has a wooden floor and a comfortable sitting area and an ensuite shower room.
Villa 1 and Villa 2 are connected by a hall.
Wellness spa
The wellness area spreads over three floors with a modern kitchen/dining area on the ground floor. Large glass doors open up to a stylish terrace and landscaped garden.
On the first floor there is a whirlpool, and a Turkish and Finnish sauna, which are on the same level as the outside heated infinity pool.
The games room with pool table and table football are on the top floor. Step outside and admire breathtaking views from the balcony.
OUTSIDE
The garden of Villa Merischi is fully walled and has several levels. On the upper most level it has a swimming pool which is heated (extra cost) and surrounded by six sun loungers and three other pool beds. The views from the swimming pool are unforgettable. First the rolling green vineyards and olive groves and then the bright blue sea.
Steps lead down to the middle terrace, where there is a quality outdoor dining table for eight people. Here you will most likely take all your meals - as the views and the fresh scent of herbs are irresistible. The barbecue is in the sheltered area close to your al fresco dining table.
