OVERVIEW
A gorgeous old, three bedroom stone villa with pool, right on the beach with a clean, crystal clear and warm sea is everyone's dream holiday. In this luxurious seaside villa you get comfort, rustic yet modern style, tranquillity and a lovely beach at the bottom of your garden, which is so convenient for the family and especially the children. Combine this with the delicious, healthy, Mediterranean diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly caught fish, seafood and pasta, locally produced olive oil, with the famous red local wines called Plavac, Dingac and Postup, and you will have a truly rejuvenating holiday in Croatia. There will be plenty of outdoor activities to choose from and for the children your will have seaside swimming and snorkelling at your doorstep. This charming, seafront holiday home is in the village of Loviste, known in the past simply as "where they catch fish". Just as in the past, the tradition continues today, as the local fishermen bring the daily catch to the harbour. The village has several cafe/bars and restaurants, one of which is considered among the best on Peljesac peninsula and Dubrovnik region. Opposite the bay is the beautiful Korcula island.
It is easy to get to Makarska by a ferry from nearby Trpanj (38km) and from Orebic (17km) there is a ferry to Korcula, which only takes 15min. The national park Mljet Island is highly recommended to visit. Go to Prapratno near Ston (76km), where you can catch the ferry to Mljet. Prapratno also has a great, child friendly sandy beach with a cafe, and Ston and Mali Ston are gourmet centres of Peljesac with local oysters a speciality. Day trip to Dubrovnik (100km) will supply all the buzz and cultural grandeur, but you will appreciate the peace and comfort of your seaside holiday home even more! History lovers will want to visit the 8000 year old hill fortress in the abandoned village of Nakovan, and the ruins of a Roman "villa rustica". Walking, windsurfing and all water sports are perfect to keep active, if you can drag yourself away from the pool and beach.
This four star beach villa with a heated private pool was built in 1914 and recently lovingly renovated by its owners. It is spacious with 135 square metres of living space and a 1000 square metre, well-kept garden, opening out onto the beach. There is air-conditioning and WiFi throughout, Three bedrooms and three modern bathrooms. There is private parking for four cars.
ACCOMMODATION
Ground Floor
The ground floor comprises one double bedroom, family bathroom (shower) and open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area which have rustic, exposed stone walls, much in keeping with the villa and the local style. The unforgettable feel of the ground floor living area is the see-through view from the house directly to the sea. This is very special and a rare experience. Simple but elegant sitting room has a stone coloured L-shaped sofa. Chandeliers add a special touch of luxury and there is a TV. On the other end is a white country kitchen with all the equipment and conveniences: oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster, filter coffee machine, cooking utensils and tableware. The dining table sits six comfortably, and a bay chair is included on request. A washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board are also in the villa.
The ground floor double bedroom has a king size bed, ensuite bathroom with a shower, own air conditioning, bed linen and towels provided. There is a window into the lovely Mediterranean garden with palms and olive trees.
First floor
On the first floor there are two rustic, very comfortable bedrooms, each with a king size double bed, ensuite shower rooms and a fantastic sea and beach view. They are air conditioned and have wardrobes and desks. Bed linen and towels are provided. The bedrooms access a beautiful terrace looking over the garden and the sea, a perfect place for privacy.
OUTSIDE
This amazing, seaside, family friendly and romantic villa with a private boat mooring and a heated pool has a large Mediterranean, walled garden which overlooks the beach. The garden is manicured to perfection and planted with rosemary, lavender, olive trees and palms. There is a barbecue and a charming outdoor dining area under a canopy supported by carved stone pillars, which is in keeping with the local architecture. From there, whilst dining al fresco, you will enjoy the view of the sea, magnificent sunsets, the bay and the islands.
The pool measures 8 x 4 metres and is 2 metres deep. Pool towels are provided and there are 6 sun loungers plus an outdoor shower.
