Villa Mimosa

We had a lovely stay at Mimosa. Weather was very warm but my grandchildren enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the shade with a good book. Your directions were excellent and we enjoyed some of the less formal restaurants in Ston whose menus suited the youngsters more than the fancier menus in Mali Ston.

House was well equipped and comfortable. 

Mrs Maruscha. “Hope that spelling is correct” was delightful as was her mother who supplied some cakes. Overall we were delighted with our holiday and we give you 5 from 5.  My bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning excellent and very welcome

We had a fantastic holiday -

When we arrived in the right place, our reaction was wow.  We loved the villa layout, the pool was great and it was so peaceful, exactly what we wanted.

For us the area was perfect although whenever we went out to eat, it was always in Ston as the prices at Mali Ston restaurants were a bit over the top. Ston was ideal for everything we needed and we got on very well with a guy named Vlatko at one of the bars. He was so helpful and friendly. 

We took your advice and visited Prapratno beach - had some lovely times down there and made a point of being there by 8am.  The sea was crystal clear and not at all cold.

Our pool days were peaceful and very relaxing too apart from all the insects that come hand in hand with the wonderful garden you have there,

Marushka was adorable - so helpful and she baked us a cake too. 

All in all, a wonderful way to celebrate our 10th anniversary and I would recommend it to anyone - having a car is essential though and we were glad we had that for the whole time.

Our three generational family has been to villa Mimosa three times. We will come again. The garden, the comfortable villa, the huge pool and great restaurants are of exceptional standard. Loved Dubrovnik, the nearby islands and the authentic Mediterranean Peljesac peninsula and the boat trips which were the highlight each time. Aircon and a large private parking space were a great bonus.

Gorgeous villa a couple of minutes away from the beach and two outstanding harbour side restaurants. We stayed in Villa Mimosa in August 22 and had an amazing holiday. The villa is superbly equipped and has a fantastic, large pool and a beautiful garden. There was plenty of seating and space for six people and the second sofa in the large living room provided a comfortable extra double bed for two adults, so eight people can be accommodated without a problem. Part of the garden and terraces is tastefully fenced off  so small children could not get to the pool without supervision. The focal point for all of us was a large outdoor dining table where we could eat all our meals.  A wisteria canopy shaded the terraces which was always cool to relax in. All around the garden there were outdoor seats where we could sit and enjoy a quiet moment.

The villa is within easy reach of Dubrovnik, which is a must see, and we had an unforgettable trip in the speedboat to the nearby islands where we swam in a warm and clear sea. Sandy beach is within 5 min drive  and in the nearby town of Ston we could do all our shopping and enjoy local food which was reasonably priced. It is a very historic area with great natural beauty. Our family loved it and will go again.

Villa was good, outside & pool space especially nice. Well stocked kitchen in terms of equipment.

We enjoyed the local area - restaurants, beaches and local towns really easy to navigate and pleasant.

A beautiful traditional villa with the most amazing garden/plants/outside area and pool. We loved the charm and rustic style which comes with a traditional style villa in a quiet coastal village.  Lovely lounge area for evening relaxing, great bedrooms and bathrooms. Adequate kitchen facilities.

We were looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday which we found in Mali Ston and Villa Mimosa. A beautiful and peaceful residential location, with only a couple of restaurants : a car was definitely necessary to access local shops, more varied restaurant choices and other tourist spots. The local village beach is more of a toe-dipping spot, with a better Sandy beach a 10 min drive away. We loved the walk along the fortified walls which join Mali and Mali Ston, our day trip to Dubrovnik, and Boat trip to the National Park on Mljet.

Beautiful setting , very quiet and relaxing area . Villa spacious and well equipped . Superb outside space with the added bonus of ripe fruit trees !

Croatia is stunning and this area had a lot to offer. Mali Ston has 2 superb restaurants and nearby Ston also has some lovely outdoor restaurants

The pool was wonderful on a hot day.  Laida and Nigel made wonderful recommendations for things to do in the area - boat trips, beaches, grocery stores, and the amazing restaurant Gastro Mare, at that time only accessible by boat.

Having the historic village of Mali Ston a short walk away was part of our morning ritual.  Cappuccinos and croissants on the terrace of the Ostrea Hotel.  Mussel dinners at Kapetanova Kuca were also a highlight. Hiking the walls of the fortress from Mali Ston to Ston.  Buying paintings from local artists in Ston.  Going for runs along the paths between fields near Mali Ston.

I just wanted to thank you for our week in Mali Ston - it was excellent.

The villa, terrace, pool and gardens are lovely and the village and location just what we were looking for. The info pack had everything we needed and some of your beach/swimming tips were great, especially the secluded beach beyond Broce. Marushka was also super helpful.

The boat trip around the islands was very worthwhile and we all want to go back to Sipan island…! Please pass on to the boat company our special thanks to Frano who was a quality skipper and guide, especially on regional history.

So thanks again for introducing us to Croatia and your lovely Mimosa - and we’ll be in touch when we want to return.

We also tried out your secret wild water swimming which was a great adventure and well worth it,  and found scuba diving in Zuliana which was superb.

Marushka and her son are worth their weight in gold, from sorting out the aircon to removing sea urchin spines from my grandsons foot!  I cannot commend them highly enough,  they made out stay extra special.  Marushka even washed our hire car when I wasn’t looking.
